Merrillville hosts Trunk or Treat event, Council sets Trick-or-Treating hours

Halloween is coming up, and there are multiple ways for kids to get some goodies this season.

  • The Town of Merrillville will host a Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 26 at the Dean and Barbara White Community Center, 6600 Broadway. Children can safely walk around the Community Center parking lot to collect candy and other treats from Town officials, first responders, and local organizations. A variety of other activities are planned, including a touch-a-truck activity that allows children to get up close to the emergency vehicles, trucks, and other vehicles used by the Town of Merrillville! We’re looking forward to seeing everyone!
  • In addition to the Trunk or Treat event, traditional trick-or-treating in Merrillville is allowed from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. Have a safe and fun Halloween!
