Stay safe as temperatures rise

The heat is on this week! Here are some tips to help you stay safe while the temperatures soar during the next several days:
* Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Avoid sugary, caffeinated, or alcoholic drinks.
* Stay Cool: Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing, and loose-fitting clothes.
* Find Shade/AC: Avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours. Seek air-conditioned places if possible.
* Check on Others: Keep an eye on kids, elderly, and pets.
* Know the Signs: Watch for heat exhaustion (dizziness, excessive sweating) and heat stroke (confusion, no sweating). Seek medical help if needed.
* Take it Easy: Limit outdoor activities, especially strenuous ones. Take breaks often.
