Movies in the Park starting around 8:30 pm (or whenever it is dark enough), the first movie will be July 20, (Jungle Book), and the second will be August 10 (Secret Life of Pets). Please not the date change from the brochure for our first movie. Both movies will be shown at Pruzin Park, 5750 Tyler Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and sit back and enjoy. Vendors from our Old School Concert are welcome to also be a part of our Movies in the Park for just the one low fee.
You will not want to miss our "Old School Concert in the Park" on July 21 from 6-11 pm at Pruzin Park, 5750 Tyler Street, Merrillville, IN 46410. We will have several bands, like "Spaniels Forever", "Solid Playaz" and a host of others. There will be various performers walking throughout the crowd to keep you entertained between performances. Bring your lawn chairs, but feel free to get up and dance. We will have food vendors available for your refreshment needs. Forms are also available to be picked up at the Merrillville Parks and Recreation office located inside the Pruzin Community Center.

The Town of Merrillville strives to assure that pursuant to the Americans with Disbailities Act (ADA), the Town of Merrillville Parks and Recreation Department is commited to identifying, updating and/or renovatiing all public parks to comply with the ADA and ABA (Architectural Barriers Act). It is our commitment to the residents of the Town of Merrillville that we will dedicate $75,000 annually with Community Capital Development Funds improving accessibility within our parks over a five year time period, complying with the guidelines set forth with the United States Access Board and standards for accessible design.
Strive to enhance the quality of life of Merrillville citizens by expanding availability of leisure and recreational services and promoting a clean and healthy environment.
